The election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eligible voters must present a valid ID to cast a ballot.

Voter Registration

• If you are not registered to vote, you may complete a registration form and return it to your county auditor’s office before October 20

• Same-day registration is available at your polling location on election day

Absentee Voting by Mail

• First day to request a mailed absentee ballot: August 26, 2025

• Ballots will begin mailing on October 15, 2025

• Deadline to request a mailed ballot: October 20, 2025

• Completed ballots must be received by your county auditor’s office before 8:00 p.m. on election day to be considered for counting

  • Wapello County Auditor's Office, located in the Wapello County Courthouse, 101 W 4th St., in Ottumwa
